We are celebrating 40 years of the BAIO® system - the market launch of our range of flangeless valves and pipe fittings.

For a long time, only flanged valves/pipes, threaded connections, and welded connections were offered on the market. This had several disadvantages: the connections were not stress-free, installation was time-consuming, and many components were needed for establishing connections. Moreover, the screwed connections were susceptible to corrosion.

All this motivated the Hawle Armaturen GmbH in 1983 to develop the Hawle BAIO® system with a view to offering the customer an easy and stress-free installation of pipeline elements and valves. Thus, the Hawle BAIO® system ensures a corrosion-protected connection and has proven to offer a long service life.

Later on, the Hawle BAIO® system was the basis for the development of the Hawle ZAK® system for service lines. The Hawle BAIO® system and the Hawle ZAK® system together constitute an integrated threadless and flangeless system from DN 25 to DN 300.
