R1 Standpost Hydrants DN 100 for Water, break-away type

In the R1 hydrant, an annular cylinder made of stain-less steel with a vulcanised-on gasket undertakes the shut-off function. This guarantees extremely low operating forces when opening and closing the hy-drant even at high mains pressure.
When the R1 hydrant is opened, the annular cylinder moves down, it first closes the emptying holes and then opens the through pipe. Water rises and flows down through the annular cylinder.
In the closing process the annular cylinder is moved into the upper stop position until the through pipe is fully shut off. After 15 turns the water can flow off through the emptying openings and through the seepage element into the ground.

The integrated stone trap in the body of the R1 hy-drant prevents damage to the annular cylinder due to stones and other foreign bodies. A reliable shut-off function is thus assured.

Universal rotation offers a further advantage the stand pipe and hydrant head can be rotated in each case by 360° even after installation by loosening the screws.
The R1 hydrant is equipped as standard with a pre-determined breaking point. Four spare screws in the hydrant head facilitate fast and easy repair.
The R1 hydrant is manufactured exclusively from high-quality non-rusting materials. The choice of material guarantees high functionality, low weight as well as unchangingly good appearance over the entire life.
Because of its high flow throughput, at the same time with low pressure loss, the R1 hydrant can be used wherever large volumes of extinguishing water are required.
