The Hawlinger with lower tapered male thread outlet is to be used for installation in pipe drilling saddles with cylindrical female thread (e.g. HAKU pipe saddle, model no. 525-00, or universal pipe saddle, model no. 352-01).
The upper female thread outlet in accordance with DIN ISO 228-1 is used in combination with fittings to connect service pipes.
All Hawle tapping valves of the Hawlinger® type are shut off via a slotted disc made of stainless steel. The insert disc is moved horizontally against fixed metal stops in a low-wear housing.
Only a half turn (180°) is required to open or close the passage.
In combination with a tapping device suitable for gas, the shut-off system enables a pipe to be tapped easily, even when in operation.
